Impossible Imaginings

I haven’t written a blog post in a while. So, to start things up again I’d like to begin with my favorite topic! Wonder! Imagination, technology, intelligence, and God. My favorite mix.

Some may say that those subjects do not all fit in the same puzzle, but I don’t understand how they can’t see how perfectly they work together.

Let’s begin with some facts. Did you know that the average person can only use 7% of their brain? Only 7%. That is such a small portion of the brain! Even Albert Einstein, one of the most brilliant men on earth could only use approximately 9% of his brain. That is it. Not even 10%. Can you believe it? I was stunned when I heard that, because when I heard that, I also heard of things I Hadn’t even dreamed of becoming realities!

For example, as we all know, there are clones (of animals only, thank goodness). Though a little disturbing, I still find it astounding. And, don’t forget, this knowledge was created and discovered with only 7% of our brain.

Also, we have found ways to mix DNA’s and create foods that haven’t existed, or keep food alive that shouldn’t survive through certain weathers. For example, here in the Rainy Northwest I heard a rumor that Strawberries sold in stores have mixed DNA. That there is a fish near Antarctica that is capable of freezing in ice, surviving it, and living as if nothing has happened, and its DNA and the strawberries we are eating were combined so that the strawberries, when it rains (as it always does) and there is a sudden frost, the cold does no harm to our food. Though slightly disgusting this possibility is truly extraordinary.

Recently I fell upon a small discovery; 3D Printers. They are real. They are out there. And it is incredible! If you get the chance you should definitely take a look at this video and see just how they do it (actually, there are several different kinds of 3D printers, and some much more high tech than others);  http://youtu.be/FfCpRy5upOM  Oh, don’t forget, this was invented with only on average 7% brain power.

All these things, and more that are ‘old news’ like TVs and telephones, the man on the moon, cellphones; all of these were barely even being imagined not even 200 years ago. At the rate we have come, I can’t even imagine what could be in store 200 years down the road!

This brings me to my next subject. God. This wonderful world he has created is full of so many things that we still haven’t even discovered all of them!

I once was told by one who held no religious beliefs that it was absolutely ridiculous that I could believe in a being, one being, that could have had the power and ability to create this world, and the universe around it, and all things in it. It wasn’t just inconceivable, it was impossible.

But, how in the world is it unimaginable to think that one being, or maybe even two or three, created all of infinity and beyond when you can look around at what just we have accomplished ourselves! And we only have 7% brain power. God had a full 100%! And still does!

Who are we to say what is possible and what is not. I mean, imagine, really dig deep in that mind of yours and think of where we could be if we had even had 20% brain power. Nearly 3 times our average. We would be 3 times ahead in what we know, what has been done, and what we can do. We would be curing incurable diseases, we would be traveling to other planets, fixing them up, perhaps even moving on to other galaxies. We would know what lies at the bottom of our sea (which is something I tend to think about a lot actually.)

Things we deem impossible now would be the ‘old news’.

Signing off with this scrap of thought;

Sincerely, your blogger,

cali kathleen
